Meghan Markle has come under fire for arriving at a New York play with an extensive four-car motorcade, including an unmarked police vehicle. Claims have also surfaced that the mother of two enlisted ex-Secret Service agents to enhance her private security detail.

It's reported that two intelligence detectives travelled in the unmarked police car, which is said to be property of the NY Police Department, a move that has been slammed by American paparazzi, reports the Mirror.
Photographers, eager to capture images of the former royal, have heavily condemned the stringent security protocols - according to Page Six.
The publication relayed the paparazzi's views on Meghan's transportation choices as "absolutely abnormal, totally over-the-top and excessive".
Commenting on the Netflix personality's alleged travel arrangements, they expressed: "Meghan is out of control and over-the-top, and it's ridiculous if the city is paying for this. And if NYPD was not on duty, then they shouldn't be allowed to run lights. Somebody's got to be paying for it."
Nonetheless, the news source noted that it's not uncommon for celebrities to request NYPD services for personal protection.

Meghan attended the event without her spouse Prince Harry, who was in Ukraine at the time, and enjoyed a lavish dinner at Ralph Lauren's Polo Bar before taking in 'Gypsy' at the Majestic Theatre.
After attending the show, which has been running since November 2024, the Netflix star had the opportunity to meet some of the cast members.
Posting a series of backstage photos with the star-studded ensemble, Meghan was effusive in her praise for actress Audra McDonald.

She captioned one of the images in her photo collection: "If you get a chance to see @gypsybway, you absolutely must. Congratulations to the tremendously talented cast and crew for creating magic on that stage.
"And meeting @audramcdonald for the first time last night...' she added, incorporating a smiley-face emoji shedding tears of joy.
"Her performance will leave you absolutely speechless. Full body chills. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house, and if the theatre didn't have to close for the night, the standing ovation would still be happening."
According to reports, Meghan managed to keep a low profile among the audience, despite heightened security measures.

Post-show, Gypsy's production team shared pictures of the duchess interacting with the cast backstage.
Their message read, "Thank you for visiting us at the Majestic, @meghan It was an honour to have you in the audience for #GypsyBway!".
